This has truly been a major blessing. I don't know who blessed me and my three sons, but I just want to say thank you. I feel that just saying 'thank you' isn't enough. You are truly God's Angels and he placed you on this earth for this purpose to be a blessing. I won't be satisfied with myself until I help other deserving individuals here at Modest Needs. I can not express how greatful I am and how much relief I feel. This feels like a ton of bricks have been lifted. I would also like to thank the angels of the Modest Needs Staff who took the time to even consider my application for help.

Thank you so much! It has been difficult since my brother's passing. Since he was disabled and sick, I was his care giver. Luckily, he was a Vet, so the actual plot was provided, but they did not pay for the actual Funeral Home expense (casket, transport and anything else that came with holding him). Not only I had to use my mortgage to put towards his funeral, I had lost any income he provide that was helpful for me. So having this help from Modest Needs is a godsend for me and the remainder of my family in houshold! Thank you all for your help, and all of you who donated are in my prayers. Karma will be good to you all!!!

I am so excited that my application has been funded! I am filled with gratitude and hope. Sometimes life's hard times taint our ability to see that there are good-hearted people out there, and no matter how alone you feel there are always people to help you. Learning about this program and how it works has sparked a light inside me to help others in the way that you have all helped me. I always thought that I had to have more to give, but I see that every little bit helps and adds up and when people join together to help- anything is possible. Thank you for being so gracious and giving, and for showing me the power of a little hope faith and prayer. God Bless Amillia

First of all I want to truly thank modest needs and the people who generously give to this foundation for granting me the funds needed to fix my van.I am a single mother of 5 beautiful daughters.we have been through many struggles through the years from being homeless and living on public assistance to being without a vehicle,making getting to work very difficult,however I never gave up hope of being able to provide for my children.and getting off the system.In fall of 2007,I was approved for sec.8 housing,and that was just the begining,after getting settled in my beautiful new home,I applied for a job working in a retail store part time,and was hired.a van was donated to my family but soon thereafter the transmission went in the van,the cost to fix it was to high,so I turned to different agencys for help to no avail,I managed to keep my new job by borrowing a car and, recently was given a promotion to assistant manager,I had almost given up hope of having the van repaired when I received the message from modest needs that with the kind giving of strangers my grant had been approved!!I cant Thank you enough. we are so happy to receive such a blessing.I am looking forward to a bright future ahead.I do hope that I am soon able to give back a portion of what has been give to my family by becoming a modest needs partner.God Bless all of you who helped make this happen for me! Scincerely, Phronsie sawyer and family.

I would like to thank each and every kind hearted person who took the time and money to invest in my needs. I am a very proud mother of a 14 year old boy who I take pride in very much and I am trying to instill good ethics in as well. I am greatful that I will be able to pay my car payment and keep them from repossesing it and this will alow me to keep my job as well. I feel this is showing my son a strong will to work for the things we have and take nothing for granted and it is not ever shameful to ask for help if you truely need it the good lord will always make a way. Thanks from our hearts to yours.

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThank You! Thank You ! Thank You! Whomever helped to pay for this particular special pillow for me!!! I MAY NOW be able to sit (recline at 70%) without so much pain caused to me by gravity! I stopped to get my mail, and when I found an envelop from Modest Needs the first thing I did was offer up prayers. I normally only open mail inside, though once I parked the car I had to open and see what Modest Needs had sent me. It was the check to purchase my pillow! Thank you. I started happy crying immediately, and haven't stopped yet! I need that pillow so much! Everyone involved, THANK YOU! I am so looking forward to any relief of pain, and Dr. says it should help... not any thing else we can think of to help (Dr. and I). Again, everyone who helped in ANYWAY TO PAY FOR THIS PILLOW, THANK YOU! I APPRECIATE IT TREMENDOUSLY! Robbin K

My name is Ava... and I've had auto repairs that have been DIRE for a long while, with no possibility of repairing these through my own means of employment. I'm extremely thankful for the people connected to ModestNeeds.org who've come together [metaphorically speaking] and pooled their giving to make it possible for me to now have to cease to continue worrying about 'Ok God, what is next!?' In life, in auto repairs, in surprize bills...what a relief to have been referred to your kindness and moreso, to receive it! Thank you all again, and I hope to pass along this same help to others as I become able... Ava

User-submitted image -  Click to see real sizeI am so blessed! Thank you all who have donated to fund mine and other causes. I am so grateful. I promise not to let anyone down. I am going to take this opportunity to make a better life for myself and my family. I don't know how I would have been able to afford this without the help of your donations. This means so much to me. I have been thinking about going back to school day and night and can't wait for my class to start. I already have experience in this field and it should be pretty easy to get a job in my area. I have 7 children and I want them all to know the meaning of hard work and tenacity. I just want to say, 'Thank You', from the bottom of my heart! :-}

My husband and I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the generosity of everyone who contributed and made it possible for us to make our last rent payment. This is a gift the we will never forget and as soon as we are back on our feet we are going to become donators, so one day we can help someone to be able to keep their home, or car, or to put food on their table to feed their families.
