I would like to thank each and every person for helping my family in our time of need. It has lifted a heavy burden from our shoulders at this very difficult time as I lost my dad on October 27, 2008 as a result of a farming accident. Words just can't decribe how grateful we are for each person that made this funding possible. I look forward to being able to give back to people in need. God Bless Everyone! -The O'Neal Family

Thank you so much for your donation. It was greatly appreciated. Our family can rest easy now that we know our electric bill will be paid. I cannot tell you enough how much this means to us.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to be receiving this grant from all of the donors and Modest Needs. I was too close to losing my vehicle and basically my livelihood. Thank you from the bottom of my heart from me and my children. I hope to be able to soon do the same thing for struggling mothers in my position. God Bless You and Thank You so much. You really made me realize that even in a time of financial crisis for most of the globe, there are still people that are willing to help out the unfortunate. It is very inspiring. Thank You!!!

I would like to begin my testimonial by thanking everyone that has contributed to me in my financial crisis. I was beginning to feel like a change would never come for me. I kept faith even though I felt nothing would ever come for me. When i checked my email, the first word that I notice was Congratulations!! I was definetly in shock and was like 'what is this'. Modest Needs and their Donors have funded your application!!. I was so happy, tearful and thankful to read that. I almost thought that i was reading the wrong email. No one has ever done anything this genorous for me. Words can not express the way that I truly feel, but i would like for everyone at the organization to know how thankful I am. Modest Needs and their donors have not only given me one gift but two. Not only was I funded but I will also have a place to stay before Christmas which is the greatess. You all have assisted me with moving forward and I can not thank you more! I would like to share this experience and give back so I too shall become a donor! Thank you thousands Modest Needs and Donors for everything!

Thank you. My humble heart is full of gratitude for your open hands and generosity. You have given me an opportunity to advance myself to a level of what is expected. Responsibility. I am going to work in the medical industry to serve the 'underserved' and to help the 'greater good'. You have given me the gift knowing that in times of hopelessness there are people with open hearts and open hands ready to help. Wow! Thank you from the bottom of my heart which is so full of gratitude and love. Thank you, thank you so very much. You have changed and and enhanced my life. This is a fabulous resource for those who are financially and socially responsible who have fallen on hard times, who just need a little help. God bless you. I will be more than happy to refer your services to those in need. Thank you again.

To all of the Donors of Modest Needs: Help is on the Way! These are the words that was on my e-mail on 11-15-08. I can't begin to tell you how those words made me feel. It took me back to the excitement I felt when I purchased my very first car. Thank..........you! In October, I found myself between a Rock and a Hard place. My car needed a Motor and Rent needed to be paid. Confused of what I need to do, I chose to fix my car instead because it was medically neccessary for me and my daughter. I contacted the three local Charities in my area that provide rental assistance. They were all out of Funds. I CRIED for hours in fear of loosing my place. I've Always believed that God works in mysterious ways. After my car was fixed, I went to one of the local churches for Prayer and someone there told me about Modest Needs. The Donors of Modest Needs made me realize that Giving is Greater than Receiving. 'I would like to THANK all of the Donors that invested the points that made my need possible.' If it wasn't for you all, only God knows where me and my babies would be today. 'I Appreciate You All and I Thank You Much, Much for your Kindness in my time of Need. This experience made me take a look at Charities in its true meaning, Giving. I hope you are proud of the difference you made in my Life and my Children's. THANK YOU Modest Needs and My Donors and May God Bless You All! Happy Holidays..... Abioseh Kikeh Pensacola, Florida

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO GIVING ME THE MONEY TO GET MY CAR REPAIRED. I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR THOUGHTFULNESS AND CONCERN TO MY CAUSE. I FINALLY NOW CAN GET MY CAR REPAIRED SO I CAN DRIVE TO WORK MYSELF, INSTEAD OF DEPENDING ON MY MOTHER TO DRIVE ME. SHE IS ALSO VERY GRATEFUL TO THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTED MONEY TO MY CAUSE. I HAVE RECOMMENDED MODEST NEEDS.COM TO MY FRIEND'S DAUGHTER, AND I WILL CONTINUE RECOMMENDING YOUR ORGANIZATION. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS CHARITY AND ITS PROFESSIONALISM. THANK YOU AGAIN TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED.

'Help Is On The Way!' I got the email from Modest Needs and was shocked. I even emailed the coordinator at Modest Needs, to make sure it wasn't a computer glitch, that I really had gotten funded. When I was hit by nearly $3000 worth of veterinary bills (some came after I made my original application), it made my already difficult financial situation even worse. I couldn't see how I would ever get back on my feet, and was feeling quite desperate. Now, thanks to all of your donations, I am feeling so much more hopeful. A friend had given me some money to try to help out. When I told her I got funded through Modest Needs, I said, 'now I can pay you back.' 'No,' she told me. 'Pay it forward.' And I know exactly how.

Many thanks to the generous donors who are assisting Child Care WORKS in strengthening the organization through a financial consultation. This consult will help us create critical finance and reporting systems to sustain the organization. We know that building this financial infrastructure will help us in our effort to achieve and sustain affordable, high quality child care for the families and communities of Minnesota. Thank you!

I want to thank each and every person who helped us. My husband is going through a lot. He was to be back on R&R from Iraq and then had the two tragedies hit his family. He did not go back to complete the journey with his soldiers. He has had to adjust to 14 months away from his home and his family. He is going to go back to work this week which will be different than what he has done with the military. Helping us with this will at least help him focus on other things that he needs to at this time when there are many things to focus on. Thank you!

What a relief we have been given through your donations we can't say thank you enough!! What a wonderful organization and thank you to all the donors that helped us through this difficult time in our lives. We will donate back to help others that are in dire need also. It always good to reach out to others and it costs so little for a donation of $5.00 or $10.00 dollars a month to help someone else in need, reach out and help. We are overwhelmed, thank you, thank you!!

November 17, 2008 Dear Modest Needs Donor, Your email tonight had me jumping up and down in gratitude, pure gratitude. I ran into tell my son the good news, and to share with him the message that its important to always keep the faith, even in the hardest of times. Over the last year I have lost my car and our home as I have struggled to keep up in this shifting economic landscape. We were offered the chance to housesit for a couple I know, for whom I have taken photographs and collaborated creatively. We were able to stay in the house and pay utilities during September through December. I saw this time as critical to finding a way to stabilize my economic base and build a new foundation, and I had a plan for what needed to be done. Just as I put in the Modest Needs application in October, I had a rare experience during a blood draw, a nerve was hit and I suddenly developed excruciating pain in my right arm. The pain was so bad I was treated in the emergency room, and basically became temporarily disabled. I was unable to work. While the doctors tried to figure out what was going on, the experience was very difficult for my son, to see his mom in so much pain, and unable to do the normal activities. Every Modest Needs donation that came in gave me hope. As I sat wondering how I would be able to make any ends meet, each donation gave me hope that I will be able to support myself and my son. Tonight, receiving the email saying 'Help is on way' brought the most amazing feeling of gratitude, a deep Thank you reverberated through me, and I hope reaches you. Most of all, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me to show my son that even in the toughest of times, we must keep the faith. This camera means so very much to me, as an artist, as a businesswoman, as a woman heading her household. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Catherine Herrera

How to even begin thanking you all for you generosity. Attempting to run a small non-profit has grown increasingly difficult and we were truly at a loss where to turn for help. Your kindness and generosity have deeply moved me and have made a sigifnicant impact in our agency and our community. Thank you so much, you can't imagine what a huge difference this has made.
